Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the LekkerSlips mobile application or visiting our website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including free users, premium subscribers, and guest users accessing the demo mode.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use LekkerSlips.

2. Description of service

LekkerSlips is a South African small business management application that enables users to:

• Generate, store, and share payslips for employees
• Create and manage invoices and quotes
• Track employee leave balances and requests
• Calculate estimated PAYE tax and UIF contributions using SARS tables
• Generate business statements and reports

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Accounts and registration

To use most features of LekkerSlips, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately at hello@lekkerslips.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

One LekkerSlips account may be used by a single user. You may not share login credentials with other individuals.

4. Free and premium plans

LekkerSlips is available on two plans:

Free plan limits are per user account across all businesses. We reserve the right to adjust plan features and pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Payments and subscriptions

5.1 Billing

LekkerSlips Premium is billed monthly at R149 per month. Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store depending on your device. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

5.2 Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will be charged the then-current subscription price on the renewal date.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Premium features until that date. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

5.4 Refunds

All purchases are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. LekkerSlips does not independently process refunds — please contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests.

5.5 Price changes

We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price increase. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Your data and content

You retain full ownership of all data, documents, and content you create or upload within LekkerSlips ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content — including employee information, tax numbers, and banking details — is accurate and that you have the legal right to store and process it.

We do not claim any ownership rights over your payslips, invoices, quotes, or business information.

You may export and delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.

7. Tax calculations disclaimer

LekkerSlips makes reasonable efforts to keep tax tables up to date with the current SARS tax year. However:

• Tax legislation and SARS guidelines may change after the app is updated
• Individual tax circumstances may affect what you actually owe
• The app does not account for all possible deductions, allowances, or tax directives

We strongly recommend consulting a registered tax practitioner or accountant for formal tax advice, SARS submissions, and payroll compliance. LekkerSlips accepts no liability for tax penalties, underpayments, or errors arising from reliance on our calculations.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LekkerSlips to:

• Violate any applicable South African or international law or regulation
• Create fraudulent payslips, invoices, or financial documents
• Process personal information of others without their knowledge or consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the app or its servers
• Share your account credentials to allow others to circumvent plan limits
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the Service in any way that could damage its reputation or interfere with other users

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

9. Intellectual property

All elements of LekkerSlips — including the app design, code, logo, brand name, PDF templates, tax calculation logic, and website — are the intellectual property of LekkerSlips and are protected by applicable South African and international copyright, trademark, and other IP laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

The LekkerSlips name, logo, and "Run your business the lekker way" slogan are proprietary marks of LekkerSlips.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, LekkerSlips and its operators will not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• Loss of business, revenue, or profits
• Errors in tax calculations or financial estimates
• Data loss due to device failure, user error, or circumstances beyond our control
• Interruptions to the Service due to maintenance, technical issues, or third-party failures

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of LekkerSlips shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or R500 (whichever is greater).

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable consumer protection legislation.

11. Termination

By you

You may stop using LekkerSlips at any time and delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data from our servers.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• Breach any of these Terms
• Use the Service for fraudulent or illegal purposes
• Fail to pay your subscription after a reasonable grace period

Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach. Upon termination, your access to premium features ceases immediately. If termination is caused by our breach, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including:

• The Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008
• The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002
• The Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of LekkerSlips will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute amicably before pursuing formal legal action.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our Service, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective date" at the top of this page
• Display an in-app notice on your next login

If you continue to use LekkerSlips after the updated Terms take effect, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
